The European Union (EU) is a conglomeration of 27 countries that mostly reside within the continent of Europe. One of the most important parts of this government system has to do with its legal framework.

The EU created a legal system that must interpret and apply in the same way to all its member countries. The EU’s legal system also enforces the laws in the same way as well.

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is the name of the governing body that endorses and promotes this legal system. The CJEU interprets that law and ensures that it is applying in the same way to all member states.

Organizations, companies, and even individuals can also use the CJEU to take action against the European Union if they have somehow been wronged by this governing legal system. The CJEU is important because it helps to keep the legal system for all its member states fair and equitable.

Justice comes in many different forms. Technically, there are 4 broad categories of justice. They involve the categories of commutative, distributive, legal, and social well-being for everyone.

When commutative justice is to consider it will be based upon the principles of equality. Distributive justice by the philosopher Aristotle considers as “an establishment of proportional equality, that is, the merit of the individual, differing from corrective justice, which provides for absolute equality.

Legal justice is carried out by the government and its obligation to its citizens. The government has to ensure that its citizens are being treated fairly in matters related to the legal system. Social justice is another important element of the legal system because it provides people with the same rights and voice within society.

Another form of justice has to do with situations involving personal wrongdoings. We mentioned earlier in the article that injustice can happen on a personal level. When people are blatantly treated in the wrong way by another individual, the concept of justice must apply. People will usually provide similar treatment to individuals who wronged them. They can also carry out a specific action to help remedy the situation.

Let’s keep one thing in mind. When it comes to individual justice, people have different meanings for individual justice. Some people will carry this out by having the person pay some type of retribution for the unjust act.

Other people will seek some type of punitive (punishment) action for the offense that was committed against them or someone they care about.

Keep in mind that fairness is a strong concept because everyone has a built-in desire to be treated with respect, dignity, and worth. Some people will take this notion to more extremes than others. The truth is that some people are trusting with a strong sense of fairness and justice.

Justice and fairness are two very necessary parts of life. The intrinsic principles that help to govern life often reinforce the concepts of justice and fairness for all people.

Many people have the qualities of justice and fairness rooted within their being. So, when they see people, purposes unjustly or in an unfair manner, they will usually rise up to defend those individuals. In some situations, they won’t say or do anything at all.

Still, most people will not sit idly by while a person treats another individual unfairly. This problem is now in a focus and plays out within modern history.

The racial unrest that African Americans are experiencing stems from hundreds of years of injustice. The slave trade that took place within America hundreds of years ago, laid the foundation for black people within the U.S. to be marginalized and handle unfairly.

The current era of protest and civil unrest that began in 2020 (with the death of George Floyd) resulted from an ongoing racist sentiment that continues to plague American society.

This is a form of injustice that many people (regardless of skin color or ethnicity) no longer find tolerable. People within the U.S. and the world at large are working hard to ensure that African Americans are no longer conduct unjust or unfair trials.

When a person witnesses someone being unethical to distinguish, they will usually speak out against it. However, there are many situations in which the decision of justice is not correct and equitable. There is no commitment and zeal for justice, and there are those who applaud and ignore it.

People generally will not stand up for a person who doesn’t follow a common rule, treat everyone in the same way and be fair. They will generally put it off on a man to stand up and to defend himself when treated unjustly. If people see a criminal, a cheater, an unscrupulous person being treated without justice, they typically won’t do anything to help that person.

Remember, most people won’t help someone being treated unjustly if there aren’t certain factors in place. One, the victim has to been seen as physically weaker or mentally inferior.

This is why women and kids are generally given aid when they see the common rules of justice for all is not apply. Two, the victim must be somehow socially or racially inferior. This is why poor people and Black Americans are constantly with protection within society. Their rights are generally overlapping to a greater degree than the rest of society.

In general, some people, react against an unfair decision, if they can gain something from the situation.
For example, if the court’s decision disadvantages an elite person, there is always someone who takes the position of defense in order to protect them.

Ultimately, the concepts of justice and fairness are of an attitude within most people. This concept is crucially important to how people interact with one another in the world. It is also important for helping people to live productive and meaningful lives.

Without the concept of justice, people will be put through many different forms of mistreatment, bad situations, and wrongful acts. Thankfully, the idea of justice is a natural part of most people’s morality. If it wasn’t, the world would be a terrible place to live. Why? Sooner or later, everybody will need some form of justice for the wrong things that they did to them in life.
